Consumer Advisory Team Member Description
Purpose
To provide an organized communications exchange between the Leader Dog (LDB) Staff and LDB alumni. To function as a source of alumni continuous improvement feedback on LDB programs, services and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participates in regular and special meetings of the team.
- Prepares for meetings and clarifies any issues or questions.
- Contributes special expertise in the subject matter under discussion and participates in team level decision-making.
- Participates in appropriate sub-teams or on special projects as requested.
- Provides advice and feedback on Leader Dog programs and services from an alumni perspective.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within a specified time.
- Computer proficiency sufficient to receive and complete assignments via email.
- Is a successful graduate of a LDB program. If a dog guide user, must be a current, successful graduate of the LDB dog guide program.
- Is not currently a LDB staff or Board of Trustees member.
- Ability to serve a 3 year term.
Appointment
Appointed by: Member selection will be made by the CAT Membership Committee consisting of the Director of Program Services, the designated Program Services Managers and the three CAT Members who are then serving their third year.
Reporting
Reports to: The Director of Program Services who serves as the CAT liaison.
