Combined Federal Campaign
Leader Dog CFC #74907
From September 1 through December 15, 2009, federal government employees have the opportunity to choose from a select list of charities to support through the annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Leader Dogs for the Blind is among the national list of organizations that employees can choose from.
Similar to the United Way campaign taking places in workplaces throughout the nation, the CFC is the campaign conducted throughout post offices, the military, correctional facilities and all federal government branches. It is completely voluntary for government employees to contribute to the CFC and it is the only way that charities can solicit federal offices.
Each approved nonprofit such as Leader Dogs, must meet the fundraising, administrative and governance criteria set by the federal government. Nonprofits must apply each year in order to be considered for inclusion in the campaign.
Over the last 10 years, Leader Dogs for the Blind has received thousands of dollars from CFC designations and counts on the generous donations of federal employees to help support our programs to enhance the lives of the blind and visually impaired.
