The pride Leader Dogs for the Blind takes in our association with Lions Clubs is reflected in an array of specially tailored recognition programs. We are committed to acknowledging the outstanding fundraising efforts of Lions on an individual and club level.

Regular Club Contributions
All donations to Leader Dog help provide travel independence to hundreds of our clients every year. Every club that donates, regardless of the size of the donation, receives a letter of appreciation. Regular club contributions of $100 and above are acknowledged with club banner patches. The patches indicate the contribution level achieved. Annual recognition patches are mailed at the end of each Lions fiscal year.
Leader Dog has several opportunities for those clubs that elect to provide exceptional support.
This program allows clubs to honor an individual club member or event sponsor for his or her consummate service, dedication and commitment to Lionism and Leader Dog. The Founders Tribute is available in three levels: Bronze ($500), Silver ($1,000) and Gold ($2,500). The award recipient is given a custom engraved Leader Dog Founders Tribute plaque and a commemorative Founders Tribute pin and patch. The plaques, pins and patches are tailored for each level.

Top Dog Club
Each year, every club making a total annual donation of $5,000 or more is recognized as a Top Dog Club. Every Top Dog Club receiving this prestigious award will be recognized by a Leader Dog representative at an event or club meeting and receive a Top Dog patch for the club banner. Also, each club member will receive a special Top Dog pin.
Graduate Sponsor Banner Patch
Clubs that provide assistance to Leader Dog clients during the application, training and post-training periods will receive the Graduate Sponsor patch for their club banner.
To salute those districts in which every club makes a donation to Leader Dog in a Lions year, Leader Dog presents its 100% Awards. District Governors and Leader Dog Chairs from these exemplary districts receive a certificate and a pin saluting this significant accomplishment. To receive this recognition, donations must be received at Leader Dogs for the Blind on or before June 30 of each year to comply with guidelines set forth by the IRS.
Leader Dogs for the Blind offers naming opportunities for those clubs who would like to commemorate their donation with a lasting tribute. A sampling of tribute options is as follows:
- Personalized brick in our outdoor plaza (includes keepsake mini-brick): 4" x 8" - $250; 8" x 8" - $500
- Bench sponsorship for a lifetime (at the Leader Dog campus) - $10,000
- Naming a Leader Dog - $25,000
Additional naming and sponsorship opportunities may be found in Ways to Give.
Special Pin Honors Members Who Are Lions
Our Legacy Society was established to recognize donors who have included Leader Dog in their financial or estate plans. To honor Legacy Society members who are also Lions, we have designed a special pin that includes the Lions logo.
If you have already included Leader Dog in your estate plans (such as a will or trust, or as a beneficiary on an IRA or life insurance plan) please let us know so we can enroll you in the Legacy Society and acknowledge you with this special pin.
