IGDF Accreditation

The International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF), which consists of over 80 organizations from around the world, requires members to be assessed and re-certified every five years. Leader Dog’s most recent assessment took place during September 2015 and we received notice of our re-certification in November 2015.

Our assessor, Noach Braun, founded the guide dog organization in Israel. He had nothing but the highest praises for the whole organization. Noach mentioned the openness, friendly welcome and professionalism of the Leader Dog team as the highlights of his visit. He was very pleased at what he saw and felt he had a lot of information to take back to Israel to improve their programs.

Leader Dogs for the Blind has been a proud member of IGDF since 1999.
