As a valued member of the Leader Dog community, we want to keep you updated on the activity surrounding our proposed kennel redesign project. We are grateful for your dedication and ongoing support as we move this exciting project forward. The kennel redesign project is just one component in our ongoing dedication to continually improve the service we provide to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Since introducing the project in our last issue of Update, our Board of Trustees reviewed the results of the feasibility study conducted last fall. Based upon the study results, the board asked the Kennel Redesign Task Force to work with our architects to refine the project design and scope and to establish final budget numbers. The results of their work will be presented to the Board of Trustees in August. Our goal is to provide the optimal environment to house Leader Dogs in training while being as cost efficient as possible.

Leader Dog is fortunate to have talented, passionate people with extensive experience in the design and construction of state-ofthe- art kennel environments working on this project. We will update you again on the project after our August board meeting.
