Our calendar features fundraising events hosted by Leader Dogs for the Blind and our supporters.

  • Annual Kolo Golf Outing
  • Friday, June 21st-Saturday, June 22nd
  • Kolo Charities (started in 1973 by Bob Kowalkowski, father of LDB Trustee Scott Kowalkowski) will be hosting their annual Kolo Golf Outing in Houghton Lake, Michigan on June 21 - 22, 2012. This is a great outing full of fun! The event starts at 6 p.m. on Friday night with a Kick-Off Party (just $35/person) that includes dinner, drinks, entertainment, raffles and a silent auction. The golfing takes place on Saturday at White Deer Country Club. $195/person gets you a round of golf (shotgun start), lunch, dinner and awards. Please join us for golf and a great cause! This event is run completely by volunteers, so 100% of the profits go to various charities--including Leader Dog.

  • Pennsbury Lions Club 5K Bark/Walk/Run for Sight
  • Sunday, June 23rd @ 9:00 a.m.
  • The Pennsbury Lions Club will be hosting the Bark/Walk/Run 5K for Sight on Sunday, June 23 to support Leader Dogs for the Blind! This is family and dog friendly event is a great way to support Leader Dog while getting a little exercise! To learn more, visit www.runsignup.com/pennsburylionsclub5k.

  • Motorcycling for Leader Dogs Meet & Greet Picnic
  • Sunday, June 23rd @ 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Join the Lions of District 11 D1 as they welcome Debbie and Mark Mansell! Mark Mansell raised over $100,000 last year for Leader Dog by riding his bike across the country. This year he is at it again, but this time on a motorcycle! He and Debbie will travel to 48 states, some 10,000 miles, in just 24 days! This picnic will be a family friendly event and we would love to have as much support as possible. This should be a great event with live entertainment, picnic food and raffles.

  • 35th Annual Concours d'Elegance
  • Sunday, July 28th @ 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
  • The aim of Concours d'Elegance of America is to exhibit prestigious collector cars as well as offer an automotive art exhibition, a vintage car auction, Mode du Concours and social events! In this tradition of showcasing classic, rare and magnificent automobiles, the car selection committee will again invite a unique collection of cars to be displayed on the beautiful grounds of St. John's. General Admission is $25 and includes free parking, shuttle and program book. Children 12 years of age and under are free with paid adult admission. A portion of the show's proceeds will be generously donated to Leader Dogs for the Blind. For more information, visit www.concoursusa.org.

  • Grand Tour Jet Ski Event
  • Thursday, August 8th-Saturday, August 10th
  • This unique endurance ride will offer personal watercraft enthusiasts an opportunity to navigate the open waters of the Great Lakes as they travels along Michigan's scenic shoreline. The "Iron Man" inspired water excursion begins in Mackinaw City, MI and concludes in Holland, MI. Stops include Traverse City and Ludington. All proceeds will benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind.
