Chief Financial Officer

Her role as CFO is to provide leadership and management of the organization's financial, information technology and facilities functions. Suidan will also serve as the chief compliance officer, co-chairing the Information Security Steering Committee and monitoring and reporting on the organization's compliance, audit and ethics programs, policies and procedures.

Prior to her arrival at Leader Dogs for the Blind, Suidan most recently served as chief financial officer at Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit (JSL). Suidan began her nine-year tenure at a JSL predecessor agency: Jewish Home & Aging Services, where she was instrumental in designing effective systems and encouraging board involvement and oversight of the finance function. Suidan played a key role in the corporate restructuring that created Jewish Senior Life and the integration of the two legacy agencies' systems and policies.

Suidan has been privileged to serve in a variety of nonprofit environments over the past twenty years, including Sacred Heart Major Seminary and The Order of the Fishermen Ministry. She is also active as a volunteer on the Audit Committee for Jewish Senior Life and on the Finance Committee for The Order of the Fishermen Ministry.

Suidan is an alumnus of James Madison College at Michigan State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Justice, Morality, and Constitutional Democracy. She is also a graduate of the Masters of Science in Professional Accountancy program at Walsh College. Suidan is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a registered CPA.
