Spend the day at the Longway Planetarium and the Sloan Muesum. We’ll meet in front of the Sloan Muesum at 1 p.m. We will be going to The Scoop on Poop – The Science on What Animals Leave Behind exhibit and enjoy one of the Planetarium shows. Free Bowling!

Classic Lanes is located on Avon Industrial Drive, west of Crooks Road, just north of M-59. As a token of thanks for your volunteer efforts on behalf of Leader Dogs for the Blind, Classic Lanes is offering free bowling to puppy raisers and their families. Step in any time between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. for free bowling. Rental shoes are also being provided free of charge. Puppies will work on obedience while experiencing the sights and sounds of a bowling alley. There is plenty of room, so bring the family.

In-For-Training (IFT) Assessments and Practice

Two assessors will be available for you and your puppy to perform your required IFT assessment prior to your puppy’s return (puppies 10 months or older) or to “practice” IFT assessment skills (all age puppies welcome).

Detroit River Boat Ride on the Diamond Jack

A two-hour boat ride on the Diamond Jack. Ticket prices as follows: adults are $17, seniors 65+ are $15, kids 6-16 are $13, younger kids with adult guardian are free. You may pay at the dock. Canine Center Fundraiser at Stevi B's

Please come enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza, salad, pasta and pop at Stevie B's to help raise money for the new Canine Development Center! 20% of the money collected for dinner/drinks at Stevi B's on Wednesday, July 15 from 3 p.m.–9 p.m. will go to our new Canine Development Center (simply throw your receipt in a bucket/bag at the counter). Future Leader Dogs and Leader Dogs welcome with bandanna, jacket or harness! Indoor/outdoor eating areas and arcade games for the kids too!
