Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA), 500 E Second St., Rochester, MI, 48307 - One half mile east of Main Street
Fireworks are a great opportunity to expose your puppy to new sights and sounds, but please use your best judgment on whether or not your puppy should attend. If your puppy is shy around loud noises or groups of people, then your puppy should not attend this event. The Rochester Hills fire department will section off a viewing area for us. Pets are not allowed at the festival, but Leader Dog puppies are welcome to attend. The festival begins at 6 p.m. with family games and live entertainment. We will be sitting at the south end of the parking area along John R Road.
The puppies will work on stairs, doors, elevator, being quiet, behaving around kids, etc at the library. Weather permitting, we will walk along the Paint Creek Trail and Main Street for exposure to bikes, joggers and traffic.
Two assessors will be available for you and your puppy to perform your required IFT assessment prior to your puppy’s return (puppies 10 months or older) or to “practice” IFT assessment skills (all age puppies welcome).
Raisers taking the IFT assessment, show up promptly at 6 p.m.
Raisers practicing IFT skills, show up at 7 p.m.
