If you are a federal employee, please keep in mind that you can give to Leader Dog through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which runs from September through December each year. Whether you donate $1, $10 or more per paycheck, or make a one-time donation, your contribution will go a long way in helping us continue our work.
Leader Dog’s CFC number is 74907.
Celebrate special moments and people in your life by making an honorary or memorial gift. When a honorary or memorial gift is made, a card is sent to the person or family of the person in whose name the gift is made. You will also receive a separate acknowledgment and receipt.
Double or even triple your gift with a matching gift. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees and Some companies event match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. For more information, contact your human resources office or find out if your company has a matching gift program online.
Leader Dog offers ways to make a planned gift for people of all financial means. From will bequests to purchasing bonds to charitable remainder trusts, an experienced Leader Dog representative will work with you and your financial advisors to help you decide which type of planned giving vehicle best suits your specific financial and philanthropic goals.
Gifts of appreciated securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds can provide attractive benefits. An outright gift of long-term appreciated securities (securities held for more than a year) avoids capital gains taxes and in most cases, the donor obtains a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities.
To make a gift of securities, IRA’s, 401K’s or other retirement plans to Leader Dog, please contact our planned giving department at 888-777-5332.
