Alex Morgan

Chief People & Culture Officer

Alex is in a black button-up dress, smiling and holding a young golden retriever puppyAlex Morgan joined the Leader Dogs for the Blind team in April 2022 as chief people officer. Alex leads the organization's efforts to develop, execute and evaluate Leader Dog’s human resources strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. She provides innovation, strategic vision and leadership in directing Leader Dog's HR functions, including talent management, change management, performance management, engagement, talent development, total rewards and culture.  Alex also serves as the leader and champion of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that Leader Dog operations, programs and culture are equitable and inclusive.

Prior to joining Leader Dogs for the Blind, Alex most recently served as the HR governance manager at Huntington National Bank (HNB). She previously held other roles at Huntington including manager of performance and recognition, employee experience manager, and talent development partner. Before her tenure at HNB, Alex started her career in the automotive industry, working in progressing HR roles for FCA Group LLC, now Stellantis. She has a proven record of partnering with corporate leadership to maximize employee performance through strategic people development, process and program design, and alignment between corporate goals and the rewards, recognition and development opportunities an organization offers.

Alex is a graduate of Oakland University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in human resource development as well as her master’s degree in training and organizational development. She is also a part-time instructor at Oakland University in the Department of Organizational Leadership.
