We are proud to announce that Leader Dog’s own Chief Philanthropy Officer, Melissa Weisse, has been named by Crain’s Detroit Business as one of 2018 Notable Women in Nonprofits. The women highlighted were nominated by their peers for their outstanding work in the nonprofit industry.

Leader Dogs for the Blind has been fortunate to have Melissa for 15 years. Under her leadership, our philanthropy team continues to be successful year after year, and she recently lead the charge to raise $14.5 million dollars to renovate our kennel facilities into a state-of-the-art canine development center. We are grateful for her tireless dedication to the mission of Leader Dog.

Congratulations, Melissa!
