Tours

The best way to learn about Leader Dogs for the Blind is to visit our Rochester Hills, Michigan campus for a canine development center tour. You’ll learn about our breeding process, how we raise and train our dogs to be trustworthy and intelligent guides, and about some of our clients who travel independently every day with a Leader Dog by their side.

Tours range from 1½–2 hours and are led by volunteer docents who have a wealth of information about all things Leader Dog. Weekday tours give you a chance to shop in our gift shop; weekend tours may not (though you can always purchase items from our online gift shop).

Guests must be at least 10 years old and should be able to walk/stand for an hour as there is minimal seating throughout the tour.

Tours are booked on a first come/first served basis and are $5 per person. Our maximum number of guests per tour is 30. If you have more than 30 in your group, please contact us at leaderdog@leaderdog.org or 248-651-9011.

Service dogs are allowed on campus with prior authorization. Please note: therapy animals, emotional support animals and personal pets are not allowed on campus.
