Leader Dogs for the Blind Launches a New, Accessible Website
Leader Dogs for the Blind is proud to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website, created to be visually engaging, user-friendly and accessible to everyone. This project has been over a year in the making and reflects the thoughtful collaboration of many team members across the organization, close partnership with our web agency Mightily, and the guidance of our project manager, CUSP Creative.
Our Goals
Our previous website served us well for many years, but with over 300 pages and evolving accessibility standards, we realized it was time for a fresh start. Our goals for the new site were clear:
- Enhance accessibility and user experience – ensuring all visitors can navigate and engage with the site easily.
- Strengthen and streamline navigation and content – helping visitors find the information they need quickly, whether they are learning about our programs, supporting our mission, or connecting with our team.
- Modernize design and technology – creating a contemporary, visually appealing experience that reflects the innovation and care at the heart of Leader Dogs for the Blind.
- Build a sustainable, flexible platform – giving our team the tools to maintain and update the website efficiently as our organization continues to grow.
Accessibility at the Core
Accessibility has been a top priority throughout this project. We partnered with Allyant, a recognized leader in digital accessibility, to ensure our website meets the highest industry standards. Their team conducted multiple accessibility audits in close collaboration with our marketing team and our website agency, Mightily identifying opportunities for improvement and helping us implement best practices.
The result is a site that not only meets compliance requirements but goes above and beyond to provide an equitable experience for all users. We are proud to receive the Allyant accessibility seal of approval, affirming that our new site is accessible and inclusive.
In addition to professional guidance, we consulted directly with Leader Dog clients and Alumni Board to gather feedback on usability, navigation and content. Their input was invaluable in shaping a website that truly meets the needs of those we serve. Accessibility will remain a top priority as the site evolves.
A Collaborative Effort
This website is the result of a true team effort across the organization. From marketing and content experts to designers, developers and project managers, every team member contributed to creating a seamless and engaging online experience. CUSP Creative served as our project manager, guiding the entire process and ensuring that every element of the redesign, from wireframes to final content, aligned with our goals and vision.
