Anyone can be an ambassador for Leader Dogs for the Blind. By sharing our mission, powerful videos and inspiring stories, you help more people learn about Leader Dog and bring confidence and independence within reach for people who are blind or low vision.

Why Ambassadors Matter

Every year, 80,000 people in the U.S. become blind or low vision. Leader Dog provides programs at no cost to our clients and support to help them travel safely and independently. Ambassadors help ensure more people know:

  • Who we are: a nonprofit empowering people who are blind or visually impaired with lifelong skills for safe and independent daily travel.
  • What we do: provide guide dog, orientation & mobility and teen programs, all at no cost to our clients.
  • Why it matters: only 10% of people who are blind or low vision travel safely and independently, with Leader Dog that number can grow.

Leader Dog Leo helps with my independence. I haven't been able to drive for a while and now I can’t get out and do my outdoor activities I love so much. I’m now able to explore my home area more which I'm excited about.
